Community, Connection, and a Big Win in South End Charlotte.

I’m still reflecting on the incredible energy at The Camden Collective yesterday. To the Handcraftedmarketclt team: after 6+ years in the Charlotte pop-up market scene, your professionalism continues to set the gold standard. Even with a rain delay, you managed to host 130 small businesses and thousands of shoppers with total grace.

I also want to extend a massive congratulations to all the hardworking vendors who showed up and poured their hearts into their displays. The talent in this city is unmatched!

While walking the market, one booth specifically caught my eye. Huge congratulations to Kate's TNT and her jewelry business! Kate’s setup was immediately inviting, but it was her radiant smile, energy and clever $5 "discovery" section to attract shoppers that really stood out as a masterclass in market strategy.

Last night at Gatito Night Market was a total vibe!
I first learned about Gatito Night Market events last year when they listed on my Hex5 app, and after visiting for the second time, I am blown away by how much they’ve grown. The moment you walk in, the atmosphere is incredible and it’s a true cultural experience with a car show, games, music, and friendly faces everywhere.

I want to give a huge shoutout to the hosts for all their hard work in putting this together. The balance of indoor and outdoor spaces makes it so comfortable for everyone.

The food highlights of the night:

Dulce Dreams cafe: That cute mobile truck is a hit! Most items were already sold out by the time I got there (get there early, folks!), but I managed to snag a cheese jalapeño that was delicious.

El pulpo Pirata: Our second time eating here and the flavor is always 10/10. My kid gave a huge thumbs up to the pollo tacos!

Fresh chocolate churros - the perfect way to end the night.

Great to see so many other talented vendors: delgadosfuego Elotes y Esquites Adamary

The weather was absolutely perfect for a Friday night out. Our takeaway? You need to follow Gatito Night Market to stay in the loop for future dates. Definitely stop by next time and try something new!
