Redline Design Group Wins 2025 Outstanding Philanthropic Small Business Award

Charlotte, NC — Redline Design Group, a Charlotte-based architecture and design firm, has been named the recipient of the 2025 Outstanding Philanthropic Small Business Award by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Charlotte Chapter. The award will be presented during National Philanthropy Day celebrations this fall.

Nominated by The Relatives, a nonprofit focused on keeping kids safe and families together by providing shelter and support to vulnerable youth and young adults, and supported by Classroom Central, Redline Design Group was recognized for its exceptional commitment to community enrichment through volunteerism, in-kind donations, and innovative philanthropic practices.

Founded in 2002, Redline has embedded the value of “INVEST IN OTHERS” into its company culture. The firm has cultivated a workplace where giving back is not just encouraged, it’s expected. Employees are empowered to volunteer up to eight hours annually during work hours, and the company hosts monthly in-office volunteer events to assemble snack packs and hygiene kits for youth served by The Relatives.

Since 2016, Redline has partnered with The Relatives to provide consistent, hands-on support. Their monthly contributions have included over 2,800 relief kits annually, more than 200 volunteer hours, and over $55,000 of in-kind donations.

Beyond their work with The Relatives, Redline also supports Classroom Central, Second Harvest Food Bank, and Habitat for Humanity. Their contributions include building homes, donating school supplies, and organizing food drives—demonstrating a broad and sustained commitment to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community.

The Outstanding Philanthropic Small Business Award honors a business with fewer than 100 employees whose charitable activities go above and beyond their core mission. Redline Design Group’s holistic and heartfelt approach to philanthropy makes them a standout example of corporate citizenship in Charlotte.

Plexus Capital knows that to secure the future, you have to build for it. In this renovation project, we traded the original all white for bold navy blues and warm wood tones to create a moody, sophisticated atmosphere, showing current employees and future talent that success doesn’t have to be “stuffy.” Striking linear lighting guides the eye and serves as a metaphor for “wayfinding” - an inspiring path forward.

Have you ever been tasked with something so big that if you succeed, many will be blessed, but if you fail, it will negatively impact many as well? Twenty months ago, I was tasked with renegotiating our 10-year office lease or finding new office space since our rent had QUADRUPLED throughout our ten...

Amwins Richmond pays homage to the rustic history of the Adaptive Reuse building, which had a past life as both a Maaco paint shop and a historic car showroom. The bright, saturated blue exposed conduit feature, with wall sconces reminiscent of automobile headlights, creates dynamic movement and connectivity throughout the space, while establishing a nod to the building’s roots.

A little bit about Patricia! She discovered her affinity for architecture after taking a drafting class in high school, and then worked for Phillips Architecture, now Redline, during her summer breaks until finishing grad school at NC State. She has been at Redline/Phillips for over 18 years, and loves working with clients to help them achieve their goals, the large ones and the small ones! In her free time, she loves to read and get outside - hiking and working in the garden. Patricia also enjoys all things about creating art!

Patrica was born and raised in Raleigh, and works in our Raleigh office, leading countless projects to success.

Her bucket list includes something you might not hear often - installing a slide and fireman’s pole on a project - anyone wanting these features in their space, please reach out and she’ll make it happen. She also has a monumental goal of traveling to all continents!
