Why MUST you get more than one quote for home repairs? Easy, so you don't get scammed! The homeowner below ha an AC leak, damaging a portion of their vaulted ceiling. The quote received as $5-$10k for this fairly common repair that should cost less than $2,000 in most cases. Our guess is that they just didn't want the work, but without getting multiple quotes from qualified contractors, they'd have never known.
