Everyone at AOS hopes that you and your families have a happy Fourth of July weekend! We have overcame a great deal in the last year and a half, and it is important to remember that we have persevered through these times as one united nation. Regardless of what background we all hail from, it is important to recognize that we are all Americans at the end of the day.

All of us at AOS would like to take the time to pause and reflect upon the true meaning of Memorial Day Weekend. To show our collective respects to the fallen men and women who served our great country across all branches of our military. These valiant Americans paid the ultimate price so that we may be safe here at home. And for that, we are forever grateful and indebted to them.

We want to keep their families in our deepest thoughts and prayers as they must find the strength to carry on. So amongst your backyard barbecues and cookouts this weekend, take a moment to think about what the true price of freedom really costs. We are the land of the free because of the brave, and that must never be forgotten.

As we push through the obstacles that have been bestowed upon our society in the last twelve months, it is important to acknowledge that they pale in comparison to the obstacle that Jesus faced on this day at Calvary many years ago. Take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of today, Good Friday. There were three wooden crosses on that hill outside of Jerusalem; and one of them paid the ultimate price so that we may have everlasting life through Him.

But on the third day, when the three women approached the empty tomb of Christ, they were greeted by an angel who informed them that "He has risen! He is not here". It is by His righteousness and His grace that we are all saved. And on Easter, as we should every day, we commemorate the miracle of the Resurrection; for it gives us hope that we too will one day join him in eternity.

We hope that all of you have a very blessed Easter holiday, and spend it with the ones who matter most to you. Life as we know it may be a little different these days, but the unwavering love of our families and heavenly Father will get us through.

There are no words that can be said to atone for the tragedy that our great country endured on September 11th, 2001. There is nothing that we can do to bring back the three thousand innocent Americans who lost their lives on this infamous day in our nation's history. What we can do is honor them and remember them as true American heroes in every sense of the word.

There are few days on the yearly calendar that stop us in our tracks like September 11th. It sends chills up and down our spines to see and hear the numbers 9 and 11 paired together. Our beloved country was under attack, and our freedom as we knew it was in jeopardy.

They tried to instill fear into us. They tried to take away the most precious commodity that this country was founded upon: freedom. Little did they know, they made us stronger and more unified than ever. And as a result, the American spirit prevailed.

We will never forget the ones we lost on that dark September morning in 2001. To the families of the fallen, we were with you then, we are with you now, and we will be with you forever. You will always be ingrained in the hearts of every American citizen. It is up to us to honor them and remember them as true American HEROES.

Long Live Liberty.
