Curious about the all new STAX SR-009D? Head-Fi user and Team HeadAmp member Makiah_S had this to say;

"Ultimately, the SR-009D sounds to my ears like the SR-009S was marketed. 009D provides a more natural-sounding presentation that doesn't lack any of the texture, articulation, or EDGE of 009. It brings the lower and central mid-range response up and tapers the top end a little. It retains SR-009's famous tactile transient response without sounding incisive, like the 009S, which still sounds too V-shaped for my tastes."
