More new work! We recently worked with our friends over Severn Tuning to update their branding. These guys are pushing the envelope with automotive technology and needed a look to match. We developed a new identity for them based off of the rich history of automotive design - evoking speed, power, and sleek lines. Dig it?

Here's a couple more shots of the new Yellow Racket Records CHA ID we worked on. Not only are they a record label, but soon they are opening a record store here in town. Can't wait to visit the shop, guys!

Really enjoyed working on this one with the Yellow Racket crew. They came to us with a vision and we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to give it some life. Check them out and keep your eyes peeled for some goodness they're bringing to our city.

I’m really proud of the original logo that I designed for Yellow Racket Records, but I knew that before we threw it up on a storefront, etched in metal and stone, I wanted to get a professional designer to refine my concept. We enlisted the help of Tiny Giant to breathe new life into our logo, and we ❤️LOVE ❤️ the result!! Nostalgic, mysterious, regal, gothic, slightly sinister... but it still boils down to a silly ol’ doggo posing for a formal portrait. (How absurd!)

Timing.

I almost didn't make it this year. I've been to every Top Con and I almost didn't this year. My laptop was getting repaired, there were (and are) a stack of things that needed to be finished, getting deeper into the thinking of "what am I even doing, trying to make a living out of creative interests"... basically, a heavy dose of feeling sorry for myself and cold weather!
..AND OF COURSE, THIS 7TH YEAR TOP CON TURNED OUT TO BE ONE OF MY FAVORITE YEARS...

The presenters (and host Jason Craig) this year said some things that slapped me across the face. They reinforced that I may be headed in the right direction and it just requires more work and time and effort to accomplish. They need to be done in spite of self-doubt and a lack of funds and present skill sets...
..I AM DETERMINED TO HAVE A PRODUCTIVE AND CREATIVELY GROWING COLD WEATHER SEASON...
