You know the feeling. You realize that you forgot to save the new admin password for your website and now you can't get in. Oh, and...fun times...for whatever reason, "send me my password" isn't resulting in receipt of any dang emails. You're stuck. Unable to get into your own website. It's maddening. Never fear!! I've needed to create some custom functionality for some ecommerce sites lately and have found the following snippets to be useful. I will continue adding to this list. Only display one price for a variable product. To only show the lowest price To only show the maximum price Adding a new custom field to the checkout page This one is rather more involved. Change “Shipping and Handling” text in WooCommerce http://wp.me/p4yzo0-1q1

I recently had a client for whom I had added a separate line to their WooCommerce checkout process specifically for handling fees (they needed it displayed and calculated separately from the actual shipping charges). But now that meant that one line was labeled "Shipping and Handling" and then another line was named "Handling". This was rather confusing. So I needed a function that changed that text without hacking the core files of WooCommerce. [ 75 more words. ]

How to fix PHP memory allocation error in WordPress http://wp.me/p4yzo0-1pZ

We all run into that fateful Memory Allocation Error message at times. Some sites encounter them more than others. And sometimes the following process still won't solve it. But very often it will. These errors often look something like this: Here are the steps I've used on numerous occasions to solve this problem: Step One - Open the file wp-includes/cache.php and place the following code immediately after the opening

Change the Description tab title and header in Woocommerce http://wp.me/p4yzo0-1pS

I don't know about you, but I have had clients using WooCommerce to sell things other than physical products. For instance, one client is using it to sell tickets to events. In this case, having a tab named "Product Description" just isn't quite...right. Additionally, the header within the box is often just redundant. Here I provide you with code to make several different types of changes to this part of your WooCommerce installation. [ 132 more words. ]

Force Full Height of Window Content & Footer Always At the Bottom http://wp.me/p4yzo0-1pO

Have you ever had a situation where your content wasn't long enough to fill the full height of the page so your footer sits above the bottom of the page, making things just look weird and wrong? This is actually quite easy to fix in your style sheet. The idea here is that we are setting the body of the site to a full 100% of height of the screen. [ 147 more words. ]

Find/Replace in PHPMyAdmin http://wp.me/p4yzo0-1p9

I've recently had need of hunting down content throughout a WordPress site - URL's that didn't get updated automatically in a site migration, changing the way an acronym is capitalized, etc. The best way to ensure that this sort of thing is caught throughout a site run by a backend database system is actually fairly simple. Don't be scared about digging into the database. [ 649 more words. ]

Adding WooCommerce Product Categories & Products to Your Menu http://wp.me/p4yzo0-1p1

I was working on a new WooCommerce website today and was puzzled as to why the categories and products weren't appearing in my Appearance > Menus area in order to add them to the UberMenu we're using for this website (this would have been an issue regardless of the type of menu being used).
