I started roasting 20 years ago, trying to find a way to produce better quality espresso at home. Most people that have had my coffee over the years say it's "the best coffee they've ever tasted" and can't b
elieve that they can enjoy coffee that doesn't need to be "doctored" up with cream and sugar, and that doesn't taste "burnt". In fact, that's the Number One comment I get regarding the country's biggest roaster. If I had a dollar for every time someone's told me the S-Brand tasted burnt, I could go on a nice vacation...
That said, why would anyone in this region want to start a new roasting business? After all, Seattle is a hot-bed of coffee houses and roasters. How DOES one stand out from the crowd? I believe we can provide a better product than most people are used to drinking.
