Zack Rocker Music established in 2005 by local drummer Bob Volpe. Prior to starting ZRM Bob worked for Costello's Music in Fredonia. Bob stared drums, a natural player, around 1977 and along with drums he also was interested in sound systems, for many years applying his knowledge of sound systems for his own band. asked why he never went public, "There are too many people who 'think' they know wha
t they doing". Bob started using his bands system for other bands early in the 2000's by request, and it snowballed from there. Bob began installing sound systems with Jim Costello, and when Jim decided to move south Bob took over the sound installation. As a joke, Bob and Jim came up with a bunch of crazy names and after many customer votes Zack Rocker Music won, bases off a cartoon character from Bob's band Sweet Ass Cream Corn and the bands bass players son Zack Griffin. ZRM did have a store front in Fredonia but the building sold and being busy at the time Bob just temporally moved operations into the back room of his house. Late 2000's saw economic struggle in the country wilh the housing market collapse, ZRM was able to survive by not having the high overhead of a store front. Since 2005 ZRM has installed sound systems in many homes, houses of worship, businesses, non-profit businesses, firehalls, schools and more....
ZRM has also fixed many improperly done systems...
Since the early 2000's ZRM has run sound for many local bands: Matt Maloof, TPT, Sweet Ass Cream Corn, Headbangers Ball, R6, Blind Society and more...AS well as parades, community events, church services, school musicals and more...
