We recently came across this quote and it really resonated with us. Over the last 15 years in business, we have seen many projects stall out because a team of decision-makers can’t agree or they become too busy to get it across the finish line. At times, we’ve even experienced this with our own internal projects.

As strategists, designers, and developers, this is difficult to see because our goal is to help our clients improve and succeed.

So before your project stalls, take a step back and consider:

• Is this better than what we have now?
• By putting this into the world, will it do any substantial harm that can’t be undone?

If the answers are ‘yes’ and ‘no’ respectively, give the green light. Make the decision to put it out there. Because only then can you create a feedback loop. You get data, reactions, and results that could never have been calculated by sitting still. You can reap the benefits of what works well while improving what doesn’t.

Without clear branding, direction, or strategy, marketing efforts can be both expensive and ineffective. When there’s no strong vision guiding things, it becomes much more difficult to connect with customers—and in some cases, may even push them away.
