Most smartwatches were made to count steps.

WearTAK is made to empower operators and save lives.

We take the same off-the-shelf Samsung watches and turn them into rugged tactical tools; giving first responders real-time health and location insights without adding any complexity.

Operators don’t have bandwidth for anything but the mission.

At Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Army jumpers wear watches with WearTAK to send live health and location data straight to Air Force medics, and perform tactical actions like drop points and call SOS.

Simple, rugged, and built for the tactical edge so operators focus on the mission, not the tech.

Smartwatches give operators a way to communicate with their team leads without pulling focus from the mission. No distractions or extra steps, just critical updates delivered right from the wrist.

This 2019 report from the The Public Safety Network captured the early momentum of a shift we’re now seeing play out in the field with smart watches. The wrist is one of the most reliable places for fast, simple awareness when hands are full and cognitive load is high.

WearTAK is doing what this report envisioned. Enabling a smartwatch to pass essential data from the wrist straight into common operational tools like TAK.

When the mission demands speed, clarity, and simplicity…the wrist is where it belongs.

Does this vision from 2019 match what you’re seeing in the field today? Why or why not?

Only the team lead needs a map. The operators just need to feed it.

Operators need the ability to drop points, send alerts, and share critical insights without slowing down or losing focus.

WearTAK-Mil™ is a better End User Device (EUD) that empowers operators with those tools at the tactical edge, directly on the wrist. No phone or extra gear needed.

Because in real operations, phones don’t scale.

But a rugged smartwatch on every wrist does.

Back in 2019, Samsung Electronics America published a forward-looking article on how rugged smartwatches could transform operator safety, awareness, and response.

That vision still holds and is now being delivered in the field with WearTAK.

Built entirely on Samsung's secure, NIAP-compliant smartwatches, WearTAK turns that “what if” into a working system for DoD and public safety operators... without needing a phone, tether, or custom network.

Samsung deserves huge credit for being the first to manufacture a rugged, mission-ready smartwatch that operators can trust in the field. Their foresight laid the foundation and now WearTAK operationalizes it at scale and at the edge.

Read the original Samsung article that outlines the 9 ways wearables support smarter policing and officer safety. What stands out to you about about this article from 2019?

WearTAK allows operators to drop points directly from their wrist using standard NATO Joint Military Symbology.

These markers instantly appear on the TAK map without the need for phones or radios.

Whether you're in a Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Response (HADR) mission, a wildfire, or a search and rescue operation, this feature lets you tag key locations like hazards, victims, or rally points in real time. All with the goal to keep command informed and everyone aligned.

Watch how simple it is to drop a point and sync with TAK.

Crash rescue teams don’t need yet another dashboard - The American DoD has already built the one COP to rule them all. It’s called Tactical Assault Kit (TAK) and has been battle-tested and funded by American tax dollars.

We’re off to Zurich for the NATO Crash Fire Rescue Panel to advocate on how TAK is the single COP that makes operations more interoperable and efficient.

The problem with TAK? It just doesn’t scale- enter WearTAK, a tactical communications tool on your wrist running on a Samsung Ultra smartwatch that enables the user to drop points, call alerts, all while sending vitals and location to whomever needs it most.

Firefighters are already wearing smartwatches.

But how can we now make them operationally relevant for the fire service?

At NFPA this week, we are grateful to present “Smartwatch Technology for Safer, Smarter Firefighting,” in which we will cover:

-Lessons learned from the FRST firefighter localization challenge
-Insights from the research roadmap to the future Smart Fire Fighting Report on wearables
-Case studies from departments using smartwatches in real operations
-Why new technology like smart watch wearables must help firefighters make smarter, better, more informed decisions
-How you can start small and get started with a trial program in your department
