Beneath the roots of Yggdrasil lies Mímir's Well — a spring holding all the wisdom of the universe. Odin, the Allfather, desired this knowledge above all else.

But Mímir demanded a price no god had dared pay: an eye, plucked from its socket and dropped into the water.

Odin didn't hesitate. He tore out his own eye and cast it into the well, drinking deep from its waters in return.

He walks the Nine Realms half-blind — but sees more than any god who came before him. 🌌

When Loki lost a bet, he had to deliver something priceless: gifts from the dwarves of Nidavellir. Enter Brokkr and Eitri — master smiths tasked with forging treasures for the gods.

As they worked the forge for Thor's hammer, Loki (in disguise as a fly) bit Brokkr right on the eyelid to sabotage the work. Distracted by the pain, Brokkr paused the bellows for just a second too long...

That's why Mjölnir's handle is shorter than it should be. Even the gods' greatest weapon has a flaw born from mischief. 🔥

It waits in rivers. It looks almost like a child — if children had shells, claws, and a bowl of water on their heads. The Kappa drags victims into the water and drowns them. It is merciless. But it has one fatal flaw: it is obsessively polite.

If you bow to a Kappa, it bows back. The water in its head spills out. And without that water, it is powerless. Japanese parents tell their children: if you ever meet a Kappa, be respectful. Your manners might save your life.

It was three creatures in one body. A lion's head. A goat's body. A serpent's tail. And all of it breathed fire. The Chimera was not born — it was assembled. A mistake of nature. A warning from the gods.

It burned villages. It poisoned the land. No army could kill it. Then came Bellerophon on Pegasus. He flew above the flames and drove a lead spear into its throat. The metal melted. The beast choked on its own fire.

But the Chimera never really died. It became the word we use for impossible things. For dreams that shouldn't come true. For monsters we create ourselves.
