My dishwasher died a few months ago. First world problems, I realize. I decided not to replace and have been washing dishes by hand. Here an article explaining why and how.

This new resource features a printable anti-slavery primary source: an abolitionist alphabet book for children, published originally in 1847.

I included images of slavery from other abolitionist texts, along with some footnotes to explain some aspects of the text to 6th-9th grade students.

A few parts of texts or images were edited to make them more culturally sensitive and age-appropriate.

This product contains a printable 20-page (5 sheets of paper per student) booklet containing a primary source resource children's book entitled "The Anti-Slavery Alphabet." It's hard to keep kids engaged with grammar. I always tried to make my sentences and activities as silly as possible to keep the kids interested.

Today, I created and posted a packet of "old school" notes on prepositions (5th grade Common Core skill). The packet features a Squirrel Banjo band.

It includes two pages of interactive notebook notes (Old School notes are on grid paper and meant to look like sheets from before mass-production), a drawing and practice activity, and a worksheet to identify prepositions and prepositional phrases.

This preposition packet features a silly Squirrel Banjo Band practicing in different locations. Old School notes are notes drawn and put together by me on grid paper, old school style and then scanned. These look like fun notebooks from a long time ago instead of looking like mass-produced clip-ar.....
