Strong Roots Design, established by Sarah Jones, started taking root at the beginning of 2011. With lots of sunshine and rain (encouragement from family and friends), it began to sprout, and is now flourishing. Sarah noticed a need for more creative and visually appealing materials among the Lord’s church. Her love for the church and design is the driving force behind Strong Roots Design. Sarah Jo

nes received her B.A. in Visual Communications Design from Purdue University, and worked in the design industry for over three years, which gave her the tools and experience necessary to create Strong Roots Design. Her creativity and technical know-how enable her to produce high-quality work. And as a fellow Christian, she understands the design needs and goals of the church. Strong Roots Design offers affordable and creative materials in a timely fashion. My Philosophy

"As the sun rises at the beginning of each new day, nature has a story to tell. Yet many people rush on with their day and ignore the artistry around them. I take great joy in spending time everyday listening to nature's voice, gazing at the ever changing canvas. I am in awe of the vast universe around us, and love observing it through my lens from every angle. I am drawn to vibrant color in landscapes. While I respect black and white photography, I could never adopt that method. It pains me to desaturate a photograph. I feel like I'm zapping all the life out of it. I like to capture scenes in their raw form, because I feel that the Creator made it perfectly. God is the true artist, and the beauties of creation proclaim His glory. When I experience nature, I am reminded of truths from His Word. A still lake reminds me of the calmness of God, while a rushing waterfall reminds me of His almighty power. Through my photography, I hope to inspire others to appreciate the landscape around them, listen to its voice, and be amazed by the One who put it all into motion."

I designed the postcard and door hanger for our recent gospel meeting at Bridgeview. The door hangers made it a lot easier to get the word out to a lot more people in the community. The series was centered on Bible qualities from 1 Timothy 6:11 so I used an icon for each quality.
