This photo, developed at LATITUDE, was taken by Mikey Mosher ( .mosher ) on early 20th-century Brownie camera found in his family’s house in Massachusetts. This house and its history have become an important part of Mikey’s practice over the past year. The small cottage on Cape Cod has been in his family since his great-great grandmother stumbled upon the abandoned property in the 1930s. The plot had been vacant since evangelical pastor Charles Freeman murdered his daughter in a ritual sacrifice there in 1879. Years later, after Freeman was released from an asylum in Massachusetts, he relocated to Chicago, and currently rests in a cemetery in Forest Park.

Our May AIR Chantal Lesley recently has been really excited to learn about Inkjet Image Transfers with help from our Technical Director Alex Wieder.
🌼
"I've really enjoyed learning new processes from the staff here. Learning how to do image transfers has completely opened a new gateway to my practice and has me rethinking how I look at, and how I want to display my images. This week I'm excited to work on transferring images onto materials like fabric and wood to make my own versions of artifacts from my cultures."

“When traveling it’s important for me to collaborate and befriend local artists, expand my network and exchange creative energy. I reached out to Amira ( ), a Johannesburg based photographer and creative, and we turned what was supposed to be a quick shoot into an all day affair at her beautiful home featuring local South African brands.” -
