MYTH: Healing should be linear.

You're not failing because you had a bad day after three good ones. You're not broken because the grief came back.

Non-linear is normal. It's human.

Healing doesn't follow a timeline or a checklist. It circles back, moves forward, pauses, and starts again. And that's exactly how it should be.

3 tools you can use right now.

No long explanations. No 'just think positive.' Just practical things that actually help when you're struggling.

1. Grounding (30 seconds): Name 5 things you can see right now. It pulls you out of the spiral and back into your body.

2. Boundary script: 'I'm not available for that.' You don't owe an explanation. This sentence is complete.

3. Self-trust check: Ask yourself, 'What do I know is true right now?' Not what they said. not what you're afraid of. What you actually know.

These are tools, not therapy. Use what helps, leave what doesn't.

Three tools that helped me when everything felt too loud.

The 5-4-3-2-1 grounding technique when panic hits. The phrase 'That doesn't work for me' when I needed a boundary without explaining myself. And asking 'What do I know is true?' when I doubted my own reality.

They're simple, but they worked when I needed them most.
