This week we celebrated the retirement of long-time employee, Steve Peterson. 🎉 Steve first joined Novel Electronic Designs back in 2005 and over the years became invaluable to the team as our machinist overseeing the milling & assembly of our products. We congratulate Steve & wish him the best on his well-earned retirement! 👏🏻

This past weekend we had the pleasure of sponsoring the Chillicothe Chamber of Commerce with its first trivia night for Chillicothe Days! We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Novel Electronic Designs, Inc. co-founder, Pamela S. Nigus, on Monday, May 6, 2024. For many years Pam was the face & voice of BuzzerSystems.com, taking orders over the phone & delivering systems to schools, as well as influential in the design of many of our products. Happy 3️⃣0️⃣th Birthday Novel Electronic Designs, Inc.! 🎉

⏰🗓️ - NED, Inc. made its debut at the Brimfield Donut Invitational in Brimfield, IL. 🧠💡✏️ In attendance that day were FIVE (IHSSBCA) Hall of Fame coaches - Tom Durbin (MacArthur), Nick Pitz (Moline), Jeff Vallosio (Peoria Hts), Larry Varner (Galva), & Beth Young (Quincy). So impressed were the coaches upon seeing the Tournament Master that inquiries were quickly made to have one made for their school. Moline becoming customer #0001 six months later.

20 years later, the majority of Illinois schools now compete on BuzzerSystems.com equipment. NED, Inc. is proud of its legacy in Illinois scholastic bowl & continually strives to better serve the quiz bowl community with its wide range of products.
