It is said that the dust plume created upon impact will rise high above the Lunar surface - visible with the naked eye !!!

Are you going to watch it? If so, from where?

Once again we are crashing our space junk into the Moon. Initially I felt an excitement and curiosity borne over years of conflicting scientific data regarding the Moon, its internal structure, as well as its' perfect placement in space as to create a solar eclipse.

After further reflection, I began to see how reckless and wasteful human industries & governments have regularly & callously expelled waste products & technology into our environment when they are no longer needed, rather than initially incorporating proper recovery and recycling protocols to minimize any potential ecological impacts. Is this but the same script - just in space?

So, yes.... I am somewhat torn as to how I will view this event. Nevertheless, this is the largest object intentionally impacting the Moon and it will certainly have interesting results.... or consequences.

Will the Moon "ring like a bell" again as it did during the last two U. S. intentional equipment impacts of years past? We will see. 👽
