The Federal Trade Commission now considers CPA Firms as Financial Institutions. This means tighter cybersecurity measures need to be put into place to protect customers’ personal information. The deadline for these requirements was June 9, 2023. Failure to comply could result in penalties of $100,000 per violation, $43,000 per day for each consent violation and other fines. 🤯 Are you prepared?
