MYTH: Put your waterlogged phone in rice

Explanation:
Rice dries out your phone too fast causing the minerals in the liquid to build-up in a rustic/corrosive like manner which lowers the chance of repair success.

Solution:
Turn off your phone immediately after exposure to liquid. Put the phone in sealed bag (i.e. ziploc) and take it to a repair technician. The seal will prevent the phone from drying and will give the technician a much better chance of repair success. The technician will dismantle the phone and clean the insides with 100% isopropyl alcohol and you'll be as good as new!
