Unfortunately I have been dealing with a lot of "scams" lately. The kind where they trick you into allowing them to access your computer. It's never a good thing when you see your "cursor" moving, and you're not the one doing it! If you are ever in doubt, shut your computer down immediately. Then give me a quick call for some advice.

For those of you that haven't heard, I have retired and sold my business clients to Midwest Data of Iowa. What this means for business client of mine, as of November 1, 2022 all service requests, website hosting/maintenance and any other service I have provided, will now be performed by Midwest Data of Iowa. They are a local and respectable company who will take care of your needs.

As for my residential clients, I will still be taking care of all your needs. For the time being, I will still be working out of my current office. If that changes in the future, I will advise everyone.

Microsoft has now released Windows 11, and is available for upgrade "if" your current computer hardware meets Microsoft's standards. Most computer systems purchase within the last couple of years should meet the standards for Windows 11. As with all of Microsoft's "new" operating systems, I am advising my clients to hold off on performing any upgrades. Reason being.....there are always bugs and compatibility issues with any new operating system.

If you have already upgraded your computer to Windows 11 and you don't like it......you have only 10 days where you are able to revert your system back to it's original operating system!

When Microsoft released Windows 10 (July 2015) they stated that would be the "last" version of Windows operating systems. Yeah right! Well be prepared....Windows 11 is on its way! Microsoft is predicting Windows 11 will be available for the holidays or even sooner. Specs for the new operating system are not all that different from Windows 10 as you can see:

If anyone is having issues with their email today, while using Microsoft Outlook, please be aware that Microsoft is aware of this issue and working on it. It was caused by a Windows update that was installed on your computer. Their latest estimate is that by 4:30 PM July 15, 2020 it will be fixed.

Microsoft has announced that as of January 14, 2020 Windows 7 will be at its "End of Life". If you are currently using this operating system, Microsoft will be pushing a pop-up window notifying you of this. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please give me a call and I will explain further.

Mediacom phone & internet services are down. A fiber optic line has been cut in the Villisca area. They are keeping me informed about this situation, and I will report updates here as I receive them.
