Hello! I wanted to share with you my five most recent website projects. There's certainly a wide range of functionality and style preferences that need to be made when creating a new website.
There are a couple of website design style options that I can always count on when I design a website:
✨FONTS✨
One of them is fonts, they will always be an essential element on your website. First and foremost don't pick too many fonts, somewhere between one to three is plenty. P-L-E-N-T-Y.
You can't go wrong with Bebas Neue for Headings and Poppins for Body font. Remember to always pick a font that is easy to read on all browsers, some browsers render fonts differently, and it's essential to check.
**On trend now are elegant serif fonts with ligatures and alternate characters used for Headings and Site Titles. They are so beautiful!
✨COLORS✨
For author websites, the general consensus is to let their book content take center stage. With that in mind, the usual go-to palette most used is white with shades of black as the base, and a pop of color like pink, gold, or teal.
The funny thing about colors to take into consideration when designing a website, every browser displays them differently. And, every device displays them differently as well - depending on how the user sets their settings.
There are so many other color combinations as well, like a neutral base or shades of off-white to medium brown is on trend right now.
