Important Advantage Gold Upgrade released, release 4-0-1-187.

Unfortunately a bug in the previous release of Advantage Gold (the -186 version) will show that the download fails to load. To get the new version, go to our Links-> Fast Links page and re-install Advantage Gold from there. It will use your existing codes and serial numbers so no need to uninstall anything. We've also sent a "message to users" via the program. That message contains a direct link to the upgrade.

Advantage Gold Upgrade 4-0-1-186 is available. Fixes printing issues apparently caused by previous release as well as other fixes.

To get the upgrade, click Help | Check for Software Update or wait until tomorrow and it will show up when you start Advantage Gold.

Read the Help | "See What's New" to see the changes.

Problems with Lottery Updater failing to update only favorites has been corrected and should work now. It was a problem with the website permissions after the outage.

If you installed DOS Advantage Plus as a NEW install using our new consolidated installer, it did not apply the fix. Please re-install it and it will fix it. The aplus release number should be 3-55-1-23.

If you go to https://safeweb.norton.com/ and look up www.smartluck.com it will show it as SAFE!

However, Norton and some other anti-virus apps are blocking our website claiming it is "dangerous". To determine how to unblock the site, search google or youtube for "how to make a website exception in {and name your anti-virus}".

New unified installer for all Smartluck programs is on the fastlinks page. This one download will let you very simply install the current version of any of the programs shown below by clicking on the INSTALL button. If you don't have the serial numbers and install keys you can still install and use them as a limited program demo.

We have temporarily removed aplus355.exe from our web site in the hopes that the stupid anti-virus programs will stop saying the site is dangerous. There is NOT and never was a virus or any other malware on our web site. The old dos Advantage Plus ran properly for more than 20 years but was broken in late November by a change in the way our website (which we have no control of) responds to requests for file downloads.

The Smartluck Flash drive which was much newer, does not have this issue with running Advantage Plus so that is definitely an option. If your Advantage Plus is broken and you own Advantage Gold, call me during tech hours and I can fix it for you using teamviewer.

DOS ADVANTAGE PLUS FIX

Sometime in late November of 2024, a change to the backend of Smartluck website, apparently caused our old Dos Advantage Plus program to lock up when opened. Behind the scenes, it was downloading non-existent files to the tips folder.

A fix program for this is available which will remove the empty tips, eliminate the lockup and replace the Advantage Plus Start program, aplus.exe. Because this DOS program is 20 years out of service we are not releasing a new version at this time. Therefore this fix program needs to be run after any new install of aplus355.

AplusFix and aplus.exe which it installs are both digitally codesigned by Smartluck, Inc.

Requirements: This fix requires that Advantage Plus be installed in the c:\gh folder which is the default install location. Advantage Plus installed in our Smartluck Flash Drive does not use the aplus.exe start program and therefore cannot use this fix.

With this, you would open the zip file, then run the aplusfix program inside--no need to extract the file first.
