After six weeks of conversation, storytelling, competition, creativity, wellness, and community, Empowering the Culture concludes tonight!

We're closing the series by doing what brought us together in the first place:

Playing together, featuring a tournament in Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls!

NEXUS Gaming League returns with John “Wingedzero” Tate II and Allen “GovPancakes” Dennis, and they will run tonight's FREE online tournament, where competition is only part of the experience.

Come practice together and compete. You'll have the opportunity to meet other players, and we'll all help one another improve. Build connections with the community that continue after the bracket ends.

Because that's what we've been building toward.

Not exaggerating when I say that this was a historical evening, featuring an incredibly timely and needed conversation with the fantastic William C. Washington.

Empowering the Culture has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, and I am so proud of the games culture community in Cleveland for stepping up during these difficult times and letting their voices be heard.

I'm so excited for everyone to see what Prince Ish and Phoenix Media Solutions are creating with the GamerGen: Where Stories Emerge documentary.

Tristan Wheeler started his own company in 2022, called INFINITEQUE (meaning infinite technology). INFINITEQUE is about designing spaces where people feel welcomed, valued and able to fully participate. Storytelling, esports leagues, creative technology programs and community events embolden the initiative to explore how games culture can strengthen mentorship, digital equity and community empowerment.

Empowering The Culture is a component of INFINITEQUE and will unite gamers, artists, creators, educators, families and community members and will occur each Wednesday in July at Atlas Cinemas at Shaker Square. 🗞️

Today we'll explore how games culture intersects with music, filmmaking, storytelling, and creative expression through a live conversation with two incredible Cleveland creatives:

This July, Empowering the Culture is bringing competitive gaming to Atlas Cinemas at Shaker Square with the launch of the NEXUS Gaming League.

Whether you're stepping into your very first tournament or you've been competing for years, this NEXUS tournament series is built around one idea:

INTRODUCING NEXUS GAMING LEAGUE

This summer, Empowering the Culture will introduce the public to NEXUS Gaming League, a community-centered competitive gaming experience designed to bring people together through play, skill development, and Games Culture.

NEXUS Gaming League is more than a tournament.

It's a space where players can challenge themselves, connect with others, and experience competition as part of a larger culture built on community, creativity, and shared experiences.

Throughout Empowering the Culture, attendees will have the opportunity to compete in four featured titles:
