A nice surprise awaited me on my front porch when I arrived home on Tuesday afternoon. I had sent a letter to the folks who make Just Ice Tea—another one of my favorite brands—to let them know how much I LOVE EVERYTHING about their Peach Oolong Tea—the taste, the sweetness and the glass bottles! It's my non-guilty mid-day drink and post-hike reward.

They responded telling me they would send along some coupons, well the coupons came along with a handwritten note, which was a great gesture, but it was packaged up with A FULL CASE OF TEA! I was blown away! One of my Adventure moms (Lori LaPorta VanderVeer) just happened to visit that evening and when I showed her, she was as amazed as I was. They had me as a lifelong customer before, but now it is set in stone!!

Can’t thank them enough for their generosity!

So grateful for the opportunity to have had work this Memorial Day Weekend…when you get to spend it paddling, it hardly seem like work! Thank you to my dedicated team members, Jake and Kristen from Call of the Loon Productions. They gave up their holiday weekend to go on location with us along the New York Susquehanna Basin Water Trail. We got to spend it on the water, exploring the area, and watching (and filming) the 70-mile General Clinton Regatta canoe race along the Susquehanna River. Long days, but so worth it!!

Just a few pix from my camera—can't wait to see Jake and Kristen's amazing images and footage! Special thank you to our client Cass from This Is Cooperstown, NY, her partner Hannah, and of course Kevin for being such great sports and modeling for us.

For those of you who don't know anything about the Susquehanna River Basin…as you can see from the pictures, it is yet another one of New York's natural beauties. Kudos to our team (2k partners Sarah E. Bilofsky and Web Instinct, and our client partners Visit Binghamton, This Is Cooperstown, NY, Friends of the Chemung River Watershed, Inc., Explore Steuben, and Experience Tioga), on the public launch of the new identity we developed for the New York Susquehanna Basin Water Trail. Stay tuned for more information as the project continues into 2025!

Centrally located across eight counties—Steuben, Otsego, Chenango, Broome, Tioga, Chemung, Cortland, and Delaware— the New York Susquehanna Basin Water Trail is within a few hours of New York’s major metropolitan areas.

Last week my colleague Sarah E. Bilofsky and I had the pleasure of running two meetings in Cooperstown and Binghamton on the Water Trails in development in New York's Southern Tier! Thank you to all who attended. Your enthusiasm for and commitment to the beautiful waterways in your region provided lots of insight and will be of tremendous value as we start to move this project forward. We are so grateful for your support and can't wait to share what's ahead!

Designers ALWAYS appreciate photographers who make their job easier by providing beautiful images with which to work. I am especially grateful to have had the opportunity to design so many pages of Avon Old Farms School Avonian magazine with Seshu Badrinath's gorgeous images for the past decade plus! His eye for lighting and composition made each of his photographs a joy to work with.

Just had to share some cuteness. Stayed at a in Lynchburg last week. Goats were so funny and loved grapes. The little guy was my favorite!
