Team Agromovil is celebrating an outstanding year in Ghana!

In 2023, Agromovil's team in Ghana achieved remarkable results:

-> Successful pilot with Guinness Ghana Breweries Ltd – exceeded expectations, reached 750 sorghum producers.

-> Hundreds of new registered users on Agromovil, with 78% being women and youth.

-> Ghanaian users shared over 700 posts, 800+ metric tons of produce valued at $300,000 USD.

-> Direct impact on more than 46 communities in Ghana.

Happy ! 🎉 Today, Team Agromovil is celebrating a fantastic year in Tanzania! Big congrats to our amazing Country Lead, Mdete Wilbert, on earning his MBA!

This year, Agromovil's Tanzania team achieved remarkable milestones:

-> Registered over 1,000 users on Agromovil, with 25% women and 56% youth

-> Tanzanian users made 1,283 posts, 9,000+ metric tons of produce valued at more than $8 million USD

-> Direct impact on over 122 communities in Tanzania

-> Engaged users posted an average of 8,600 kg per post

Agromovil farmers and buyers are working in more than 254 communities across Ghana, Tanzania and Colombia.

Hoy, Agromovil celebra la increíble visita de la semana pasada a Colombia por parte del CEO del equipo, Andrew Mack, para el lanzamiento de Ya EstoyOnline Agro, una iniciativa a nivel nacional patrocinada por Cámara Colombiana de Comercio Electrónico y Google, diseñada para ayudar a los agricultores a conectarse con compradores, proveedores de insumos, créditos y aseguradoras en todo el país.

El esfuerzo, que utiliza la tecnología de Agromovil como su núcleo, se compromete a llegar a 45,000 usuarios en su primer año y es una parte clave de los planes de Colombia para digitalizar la agricultura.

Today Agromovil is celebrating last week’s incredible visit to Colombia by team CEO Andrew Mack for the launch of Ya EstoyOnline Agro – a nationwide initiative sponsored by the Cámara Colombiana de Comercio Electrónico and Google designed to help farmers connect with buyers, inputs, credit, and insurance providers across the country.

The effort – which uses Agromovil technology as its core – is committed to reaching 45,000 users in its first year and is a key part of Colombia’s plans to digitize agriculture.

Happy ! Proud to announce that Agromovil just begun a new face of work connecting maize farmers with buyers in Ghana, partnering with USDA and the respected Ghanaian university, KNUST.

We're also continuing our work with Guinness Ghana Breweries Ltd and sorghum farmers in the region.

Maize presents a significant opportunity to empower smallholder farmers, it is an important crop for food security across Ghana and a PRIME product of smallholder farmers.

The old adage is true – people don’t value what they don’t count. Market access systems need to include women and women’s production.

According to International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD):

-> Agriculture employs 62% of working women in low income countries.
-> One in four of the world's working women are employed in Agriculture.

If we’re serious about empowering women farmers it’s time to get serious about mobilizing data about AND FROM women farmers.
