More Reasons to Use Avast Anti-Virus
I've been using Avast for a few years now because it's a powerful, free, minimal memory usage, automatically updates it’s virus definitions daily, anti-virus program that lets feel secure and safe browsing and downloading. Well Avast has two relatively new tools that make it even better.
The first is a Software Updater. Avast has a list of programs that you might not think of updating like all Adobe products, your web browsers, Quicktime, Java Runtime Environment, and many others. A window will appear saying Updates Available and you see a list of programs needing updating. All you have to do is click Update and Avast goes out and starts the updater. Yes you may have to restart your computer after the update is done but the ease of the Updater will spoil you after you use it a few times.
The second tool is a Remote Assistance tool. You probably have seen ads that talk about accessing another computer remotely. If both the host and remote computer have Avast installed you can allow remote access between the two computers. No extra software to install or websites to go through. Just choose to Allow Remote Control and a number/letter code appears. Control Remote Computer asks for that number/letter code to control the other computer. This is a secure, easy way to allow access or control another computer.
As great as Avast was before, these two new tools make it an even more complete package.
