This one made me laugh...

But it also makes a good point.

AI can write an email, summarize a meeting, or analyze data.

It still can't replace curiosity, good judgment, experience, or the ability to ask the right questions.

Those are the skills that will become even more valuable as AI becomes part of everyday business.

"The Computerease team makes IT easy, seamless, and stress-free." 💬

That's what Kelly Crabtree at Columbus Capital Partners had to say, and it's exactly what we aim for with every client.

IT shouldn't be something you have to think about. It should just work, quietly, in the background, so you can focus on running your business.

Thank you, Kelly, for the kind words and for trusting our team!

LinkedIn recently added a new feedback option that caught my attention: "Seems like AI slop."

Whether you like the wording or not, it highlights something many people have been noticing lately.

AI isn't the problem.

Low-quality, repetitive content created with little thought or value is.

The businesses getting the most out of AI aren't using it to churn out generic posts or articles. They're using it to help their teams work smarter, improve customer service, automate repetitive tasks, and create better work—not just more work.

As AI becomes part of everyday business, the companies that stand out will still be the ones that provide real expertise, original ideas, and genuine human insight.

AI should amplify your knowledge, not replace it.

Running a law firm comes with a level of confidentiality most businesses don't have to think about. 📁

Client files, case histories, privileged communications, all of it needs to stay secure and accessible, every single day. A security gap or a few hours of downtime can put more than productivity at risk.

That's why legal IT support looks different from general business IT:
✅ Document management systems built for how lawyers actually work
✅ Security designed around confidentiality and compliance
✅ Fast response when a deadline is on the line
✅ Reliable backup and recovery for years of case history

If your firm is relying on general IT support, or nothing formal at all, it might be worth a second look.

How does your firm currently handle IT? Let us know!

Time.
Time to spend with family.
Time to step away from work.
Time to be present instead of buried in repetitive tasks.
This week, I'm grateful to be spending a few days in Florida with my family.
Ironically, while I'm taking a short break from AI conversations, our team is back home helping businesses adopt AI securely, improve productivity, and build smarter processes.
The best technology doesn't just make your business more efficient—it gives you more freedom to enjoy the life you're working so hard to build.

If you've ever spent 5 minutes hunting through Teams trying to find a meeting recording, there's a feature you should be using.
It's called the Meet app, and it's already built into Teams. No Copilot license required.
The Meet app gives you a single dashboard for every meeting you've had or are about to have. Click on any meeting and you get the agenda, recording, transcript, chat, and shared files, all in one place.
To find it:
1.
Open Teams
2.
Click the three dots on the left navigation bar
3.
Search for "Meet"
4.
Right-click and pin it so it stays in your sidebar
Once pinned, you'll see two views: upcoming meetings and past meetings. Click any past meeting to see everything tied to it.
Finding what was discussed in last month's leadership review used to take 5 minutes of digging through your calendar, recordings, and SharePoint.
With Meet, it takes 30 seconds.

One of the reasons I appreciate Mike Rowe's perspective is that he reminds people there's dignity in doing the work that keeps everything else running.

In business, everyone gets excited about the newest technology, the latest AI tool, or the next big trend. Much less attention gets paid to maintaining systems, documenting processes, training employees, or helping customers well.

The fundamentals rarely make headlines, but they're usually the reason businesses succeed over the long run.

If you got four in a row, congratulations! We'll dig through the archives and find you a complimentary AOL installation CD.
Bonus points if you still remember the dial-up sound.

What would happen if I asked everyone in your company one simple question:

"What information should never be pasted into ChatGPT?"

Would every employee answer the same way?

Most business owners honestly don't know.

That's why AI training has become so important. The objective isn't to slow people down. It's to make sure everyone is working from the same playbook before AI becomes part of everyday business.

If your team is already using AI-or you know they will be soon-it's worth taking a few minutes to make sure they're using it safely and getting the most out of the technology.

Imagine getting a phone call from your CEO asking you to wire money immediately.

The voice sounds exactly like them.

The urgency feels real.

The only problem? It isn't actually your CEO.

AI-generated voice scams are becoming more convincing, making it easier for criminals to impersonate executives, coworkers, and even family members.

The best defense isn't just better technology—it's having simple verification procedures before acting on unusual requests involving money, passwords, or sensitive information.

I take a closer look at how these scams work and what businesses can do to protect themselves in this article:
