Under CMMC, data privacy is not optional. It is built directly into NIST 800-171 and tied to how sensitive information is handled. For organizations managing CUI, privacy gaps pose not only security risks but also significant challenges.

👉 CMMC requires documented policies, controlled access, user training, and consistent evidence of compliance. If requirements are not met by November ‘26, organizations may lose eligibility.

Let’s take a second to break down the role of a Registered Provider Organization (RPO) in the CMMC process.

✨ CMMC readiness is not just about the assessment day. It is about understanding what is required, why it matters, and building sustainable security practices long before a third-party assessment begins.

That is where a Registered Provider Organization (RPO) comes in.

👉 An RPO supports CMMC preparation through education, structure, and guided readiness without performing assessments or certifications. RainTech does not assess or certify organizations. That role belongs to C3PAOs.

Our role is to educate and support teams so they are prepared. Preparation done right gives teams time, options, and confidence.
