Your remote management platform just became a weapon against your own infrastructure. 🚨
This is the hard lesson from the N-able incidents and similar RMM compromise stories. The tools that keep your IT running smoothly are the same tools that can take everything down if they're compromised.
Here's how it works: attackers don't attack one endpoint at a time. They go after your RMM console. Once they get in, they push malware as a legitimate update, disable security tools, delete backups, and move across your entire network at machine speed. By the time you notice something's wrong, they've already won.
And here's the uncomfortable part: if your MSP didn't secure console access properly, didn't monitor the RMM platform, or didn't segment management networks, your environment was always vulnerable, no matter what you did internally.
For small and mid-sized businesses:
Don't assume your RMM provider has strong security. Ask them directly: Do you require multi-factor authentication on all console accounts? Do you monitor what the platform is doing? Are management networks segmented? Are backups protected from the RMM system itself?
If the answers are vague or no, that's a problem.

Big data centers are coming to Missouri. Google. Amazon. Billions in investment. And yeah, there are real community questions about what that means—power usage, environment, local impact. Those concerns are legitimate.
Here's the thing though: this is happening. Whether your community likes it or not, resists it, or actively plans for it, the infrastructure is being built. And historically, resistance without a practical alternative just means the development happens anyway—often with less input from local businesses and communities than early engagement would've provided.
