Columbia Tech Network

Columbia Tech Network Each event provides opportunities to network and hear from and question speakers who are at the forefront of shaping our technology future.

We help build relationships among members of Columbia’s tech community, including entrepreneurs; entrepreneur resource providers from the private, government, and university sectors; tech company executives; and leaders of supportive organizations. Columbia Tech Network organizes quarterly, informal gatherings of Columbia’s high-tech community — executives, entrepreneurs, investors, vendors, and anyone else committed to Columbia’s high-tech success.

The summer meetup was a hit -- thanks to everyone who spoke and attended. Heidi Furhman welcomed us to Museao and gave us the latest info about the new incubator at REDI run by League of Innovators that is opening at month's end. Spencer Fane attorney Kyle Elliot's info about America Invents Act and advice on patenting drew a dozen questions and we had to cut them off for the next speaker. Same with Gregg Coffin, the MU Power Plant superintendent who talked about the conversion of fuel from coal to plants. Shibu Jose's presentation on the local impact of the expanding biofuel industry was fascinating as well. Great event!
