šØSheSoTechie Teaching Moment: The hot topic this week is the āPPP fraud list.ā This said website lists ALLLL these folks that are being investigated for fraud.
I went to the website and the first thing I noticed was the URL ended in .com. Then I noticed the disclaimer at the bottom that the site is NOT affiliated with the SBA. It also states āno guarantees are made as to the ACCURACY of the data. Lastly, the amount of ads on the website.
Hereās my theory, the SBA did release a list of businesses that took out a PPP loan. These fraudulent sites are popping up everywhere. If you do a Google search on the topic itās pages and pages. The SBA IS GOVERNMENT ENTITY. Any government website ends with .gov which means thatās a reputable website. Anyone can register a domain name with a .com URL. Establishing a government website without the government is not happening.
I do not believe these āfraudā lists are accurate. I think people who have a lot of time on their hands have established these āfraudā sites based on the list the SBA released of people who took the loan(s) out.
You cannot believe or trust everything on the innanet. If youāre on this said fraud list and you have NOT received a certified letter from SBA or the institution that funded your loan I wouldnāt get your feathers too ruffled.
Be cautious ā ļø
