It's been a few weeks, but we're back for a quick virus update.

Right now we are seeing a significant surge in severe damaging viruses. The old FBI virus is back, now named the ICE virus, its still calming you have done something illegal and have to pay $$$ to not go to jail.

We are also seeing one in particular to watch out for. Its known as a cryptolocker. This is a ransomware that encrypts your data and attempts to charge you to unlock your files. The only way to avoid this is to BACK UP YOUR DATA. Once encrypted files are nearly impossible to recover without a backup.

TGIF everyone - In light of the weather conditions over the last 3 days, you may be experiencing internet connection issues. If you are, be sure to reboot your entire system and network first - power everything down, wait about 60 seconds then power everything back up - your modem, router (if you have one) and your computer(s). In most cases, this will resolve your internet connection issues. If the problem persists, contact your internet provider to be sure the issues are not with them. If you are still having problems, we will be in the office all day if you need help 828 894-6169.
