Trust

It’s a difficult thing to get ahold of these days.
As an IT professional, you need to establish that trust with your clients.

Trust that you will be there for them
Trust that you can help them to the best of your abilities
Trust that the person helping them is reliable
Trust to keep information confidential and safe

Outside of security level positions, there’s no license or threshold that an IT professional needs to publicly obtain in order to become support. Anyone can claim to assist you. We can earn degrees and certifications, but we still need that trust to be there between the client and the support professional. I get it. It’s a very personal thing to have a stranger sitting in your chair or having a remote session to your personal PC.

Make sure you vet your IT support. You need to ensure that the person helping you is someone you can return to for any of your IT support needs. Someone you can trust!

I'm not at all here to put down your nephew. I'm sure he does great work.

He probably also has other things to do.

What you need is someone who has the time dedicated to making sure your business is taken care of on a routine basis.

It's mid-year of 2024 already! 😳 Do you have anything in your system setup that you'd like to improve on or something to implement?

Don't overlook that server or PC you're working on and make sure it's there for you when you need it.
