Texas is now leader in the bitcoin mining industry following the crackdown and purge of mining in China. Most Bitcoin mining companies are already based in the state, or currently moving operations there.

Why Texas?

Taproot, Bitcoin’s Long-Anticipated Upgrade, Has Activated. Taproot is the first upgrade to Bitcoin since 2017, and it brings new features to improve privacy, scalability and further smart contract functionality. Taproot activated yesterday on November 14th, and the upgrade introduces Schnorr signatures that can make more complex transactions on Bitcoin (like from the Lightning Network or smart contracts), look like just any other transaction, hence improving the privacy and security of the transactions.
