We hope you were able to attend Curriculum Night on Wednesday. It was a good way to connect with facilitators and administrators and learn the lay-out of the school. Please see Mr. Porter’s newsletter which has great details about parking logistics and other beneficial information.

As Mr. Porter mentioned, we encourage you to be a part of PTSO at New Tech High. It allows you to be better involved in the school; support our staff and learners; and see all the wonderful things that are going on at New Tech! Hope everyone is surviving these high temperatures and gradually settling into a school routine.
Please see the following regarding upcoming dates.

Curriculum night is this Wednesday, August 26th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm!
Please park in student parking!

Also, senior parent meeting is on this Wednesday:
7:15 to 8:00 pm in Lecture Hall.

We are off to a great year at New Tech! 2026-2027 School Year is upon us! Please see the following information from Mr. Porter to assist your learner in navigating the first week of school.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL IS TOMORROW!
Hello New Tech!

I do not have a new newsletter because I want to leave that information available for you to review, but I wanted to send a reminder about the first day of school tomorrow.

If you are a car rider arriving for 0 Hour, please be dropped off at the NTH@C front door under the red awning. Students arriving for 1st period should be dropped off in the student parking lot loop.

We are excited to see you tomorrow! Please check your first week project locations on the whiteboard in the media center so you know where to go when you arrive. Feel free to sit in the school until 8:00 a.m., then head to class.

It's okay to be nervous. We all are a little nervous. It is a normal emotion when facing change and new experiences. Come with an open mind and the expectation that we will need to learn and grow into new systems. We are all learning and experiencing the newness together. Lean on each other. Pushing through the nervousness helps us grow and build resiliency.

Come and ask questions. Mr. Voelker, Ms. Moss, and I will be visible all day if you need anything. Your facilitators and the CHS administrators will be there to help too. Just ask.
