SecurITech Group has been made aware that an individual has falsely claimed to be employed by our company to offer “computer repair” services. This person reportedly took a customer’s laptop under false pretenses and is not affiliated with SecurITech Group in any way.

We take this very seriously. The matter has been reported to law enforcement for investigation.

Here are some quick tips to protect yourself and your business when hiring someone online or through Facebook Marketplace:

✅ Verify employment or business legitimacy.
Always check the official website or phone number before trusting someone claiming to represent a company.

✅ Never hand over devices or personal property without written documentation or a confirmed pickup appointment from the real company.

✅ Don’t send money or make deposits unless it’s through official, verifiable channels (never via CashApp, Venmo, or gift cards).

✅ Meet in public places when exchanging goods or services, preferably in well-lit areas or police-approved “Safe Exchange Zones.”

✅ Inspect profiles carefully.
Look for new or incomplete accounts, missing business details, or mismatched information — those are red flags.

✅ Ask for business identification.
All legitimate SecurITech Group representatives carry professional communication (emails, uniforms, and contact from company domains).

🚨 What To Do If You Suspect a Scam

Do not send money or equipment.

Take screenshots of the conversation and profile.

Report the account to Facebook.

Contact us directly if our business name is being used.

File a police report if property was stolen or money exchanged.
