Heads up for nonprofits using Microsoft 365

Starting July 1, 2025, Microsoft is ending its donated licenses for:
-Microsoft 365 Business Premium
-Office 365 E1

These changes will apply at each nonprofit’s next license renewal after that date.

Here’s what’s changing:
-Up to 300 free Microsoft 365 Business Basic licenses will still be available
-Discounted pricing remains for Business Standard and Business Premium
-Office 365 E1 will only be available through Enterprise Agreements, typically for large organizations
-Microsoft 365 is not a full backup solution, so nonprofits should ensure they have a comprehensive data protection plan in place

This is a good time for organizations to review their licensing, assess current needs, and begin planning for any upcoming changes.
