Our Clay County Connect crew has been hard at work preparing for tomorrow’s Hannah Harper concert!

To help ensure media partners, event organizers, and vendors can capture, share, and support all the excitement of the event, we have installed dedicated internet service specifically for their use. This will help keep event operations running smoothly without placing additional strain on public networks.

A lot of work happens behind the scenes before an event like this, and we’re proud to do our part to support our community and help make tomorrow a success!!

See you at the concert!

We are currently experiencing some traffic issues with our upstream provider, which may be causing intermittent service disruptions for some of our customers.

Our team has rerouted traffic, and things are looking more stable at this time. We will continue to closely monitor the situation to ensure service remains reliable.

We wanted to inform everyone about the issue, assure you that we are monitoring the situation, and appreciate your understanding and patience.

⚠️ We want to make our customers aware of a growing issue involving certain streaming devices often advertised online — and sometimes even sold locally — as a way to access “free TV” or premium channels with no monthly fee.

While the physical streaming box itself may not be illegal, the content that it is accesses is illegal. These boxes often cost several hundred dollars upfront and require no monthly fees, but they can come with serious risks.

These devices can also create cybersecurity and network safety concerns, including:

• Scanning other internet-connected devices for vulnerabilities
• Participating in large-scale cyberattacks known as DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks
• Running outdated software that can expose your personal information
• Potentially spying on network traffic inside your home or business

In many cases, customers have no idea the device is doing these things in the background.

To help protect your personal information and your internet connection, we strongly encourage customers to:

• Use legitimate streaming services and apps
• Keep devices updated regularly
• Be cautious of “too good to be true” offers promising free premium content

Protecting our network and our customers is extremely important to Clay County Connect! If you ever have questions about a device connected to your network, our team is always happy to help!

‼️Planned Internet Outage ‼️

✨Update: Customers on CR 128 should be back up and running as of 3:30 AM on Friday 5/15. The next round will start this morning. If you were part of the first outage and your internet is not up, please try to unplug and reconnect everything. If you continue to have issues please give us a call at 870-202-1990.✨

If only we knew why people think shooting at fiber lines is fun. Unfortunately, there is nothing fun about it!

When fiber is damaged, it doesn't just affect one person; it can take out an entire neighborhood, businesses, and even critical emergency communications. It causes costly repairs, unnecessary outages, and frustration for all involved.

Under Arkansas law, intentionally damaging utility infrastructure can lead to criminal charges, including felonies, jail time, and restitution.

Customers on CR 128 will experience a planned internet outage on Thursday from 11:00 PM to 7 AM as crews repair fiber damaged by gunshots. Approximately 80 customers will be affected by tonight's outage.

We will have another planned outage on Friday for customers on CR 212, from 8:00 am to 3:00 PM. Friday's outage will affect approximately 20 customers.

Our outage map has been updated at https://www.claycountyelectric.com/support-2/outage-map/, and text messages will be sent to all customers affected by the outages.

We apologize for the inconvenience. If you see any suspicious activity around utility equipment, please report it immediately.

This Mother’s Day, we take a moment to recognize the incredible women who balance the demands of work and family with grace, strength and heart.

The moms of Clay County Electric and Clay County Connect are more than dedicated employees — they are caregivers, role models, problem-solvers and the steady foundation their families rely on
every day.

Whether they’re answering calls, keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes or serving our members out in the community, they bring the same care and commitment to their work as they do to their homes. Their ability to juggle it all does not go unnoticed.

Thank you for the sacrifices you make and the love you pour into everything you do. You make Clay County Electric and Clay County Connect a better place!

Happy Mother’s Day!!

We love seeing our team make an impact beyond the office! 💙

We’re so proud to share that Jeremy was nominated by the Corning student council to serve as a motivational speaker for their upcoming Boot Camp! This event helps students get encouraged, focused, and a little less stressed as they prepare for statewide testing.

At Clay County Connect, we believe in showing up for our community in meaningful ways, and Jeremy does exactly that every day. Whether he’s helping our customers or pouring into the next generation, he leads with heart, encouragement, and positivity!

Thank you, Jeremy, for representing Clay County Connect so well!
