I used to spend hours manually renaming scanned PDFs, deleting clutter, merging files, and rotating upside-down pages. Like many working in records management, I just accepted the grind — until I discovered Python.
At first, I didn’t know how to code. But I taught myself just enough Python to automate what used to be the most frustrating parts of my job. One script turned into ten. And before I knew it, I was saving hours every week while working smarter, not harder.
From renaming files and compressing PDFs to merging documents using QR codes or embedded text, I built tools that solve real, daily workflow problems. These aren't bloated enterprise solutions. They're lightweight Python scripts built by someone who knows the work — because I’ve lived it.
I’ve now cleaned up and released my personal toolkit so others can benefit too. If you manage digital records, work with scanned documents, or just want to get more done with less stress, these tools can change the game for you like they did for me.
In my latest blog post, I share how I went from overwhelmed records specialist to automation-powered problem solver — and how you can too.
