In many cases, our equipment will come with better warranties than when originally sold by the manufacturer. Tech Castle will carry a large variety of electronics, cables/adapters, and hard to find items. We pride ourselves on being friendly to the earth. Therefore, we’re more of a ReUse center than a Big Box. Our belief is that buying a pre-owned item prevents the creation of a new product. We proudly occupy the former location of the best toy store ever to exist. For 70 years, Johnny’s Toys brought joy to children throughout the NKY/Cincinnati area. The main attraction of Johnny’s was the the famous “Birthday Castle”. As a member of the Birthday Club, you would receive a postcard with a magical key that unlocked the castle door and a free birthday toy inside. This was the highlight of every kid’s birthday. If you mention Johnny’s Toys to any adult in the area today, it instantly sends them down memory lane. To honor Johnny’s, Tech Castle is reopening the infamous Birthday Castle and club. This time, both kids AND adults can sign up!

Tech Castle (inside the iconic Johnny’s Toys Building in Latonia) is looking for a Full-Time Repair Technician to join our team! 🖥️🔧

We’re not your typical repair shop—we’re a retail store, service center, and community space all rolled into one. If you enjoy solving tech problems and helping customers face-to-face, we want to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing:
✔️ Repairing all electronics, old and new!
✔️ Helping customers understand their tech (no jargon!)
✔️ Working in a fast-paced, team-oriented retail environment
✔️ Keeping the store running smoothly day-to-day

What we’re looking for:
👉 Retail/customer service experience is a MUST
👉 Electronic repair experience is a MUST
👉 Positive attitude + strong communication skills
👉 Reliable and motivated

The results are in....Thank you to the City of Covington, Kentucky Government for partnering with Blair Tech and Tech Castle on our recent community electronics recycling event! 💚♻️
While all totals are estimated, we believe the event helped divert approximately 12,000–15,000 pounds of e-waste from local landfills, equating to approximately 6.5 tons!
That includes more than 550 electronic items, such as 25+ tube TVs, 100+ flat-screen TVs, 75+ laptops, 100+ monitors, 70+ desktops, 50+ printers, 100+ phones/tablets/e-readers, dozens of household electronics and too many cables and cords to count!
Beyond the total weight, this represents a significant amount of recoverable material that can now be responsibly recycled instead of entering the waste stream, including an estimated:
5,000–6,500 pounds of metals (such as steel, aluminum, and copper)
2,000–3,200 pounds of plastics
3,000–4,000+ pounds of glass and mixed materials

Electronics contain valuable resources like copper, aluminum, iron, gold, palladium, plastics, and glass so recycling them helps conserve natural resources, reduce the need for mining, and keep harmful materials out of our environment.

We’re proud to be part of a community so committed to sustainability and making a difference.
