Some projects stand out because of the design. Others stand out because of the people behind them. This one is both.

My Assistant+ is more than a virtual assistant service. It is a lifeline for entrepreneurs, small businesses, and busy leaders who need clarity, support, and connection in their work. I can personally attest to their excellence, because I use them myself for KB Creative (shoutout to Tanda!). Having MA+ as part of my workflow has allowed me to stay organized, keep projects moving, and focus on the creative work that matters most.

When I set out to design their full rebrand, I wanted the identity to reflect exactly what they provide: simple, clever, trustworthy support with a touch of personality. From the paperclip “M” to the plus sign, every detail of this logo tells their story.

We carried that story into a full rebrand, including a fresh website design and build that gives them a strong, professional presence to match the incredible service they already provide.

This is the kind of work I love most. It is not just about creating a logo or a website. It is about building something that reflects the heart of the people behind the brand. And with My Assistant+, the heart is as genuine as it gets.

Some projects are special because of the design. Others are special because of the people behind them. This one was both.

Sadie’s Flowers is more than a mobile flower truck—it’s a love letter. A tribute. A way to carry on the memory of a little girl who was here for only a few days but changed everything.

After losing their daughter, Sadie, in 2021, my dear friends found comfort in flowers—both in their beauty and in what they represent. From that, this dream took root.

They poured love into restoring a truck, naming it Susie (after Sadie’s flower, the Black-eyed Susan), and this weekend, Susie makes her debut at the Mt. Holly Spring Market. If you’re local, stop by, grab some fresh blooms, and show them some love.

I was honored to bring their vision to life through branding—but even more honored to be part of something so meaningful. This is what makes design more than just work—it’s storytelling, legacy, and love. 💛🌸

🐝 New Branding Project! 🐝 (sort of)

Bumblebee Bakery is a conceptual project located in Belmont, NC. Although the bakery’s owners were “over the moon” with the design and even had the signage put up, they later chose a different business path and pursued a creamery.

As soon as the project was commissioned, I quickly had the idea of the logo combining a bee and a loaf of bread, and I loved how it turned out. Even though Bumblebee Bakery didn’t materialize as a business, I’m proud of its design, and it was too enjoyable of a project not to share.

What better time to highlight a new branding project for McAdenville Wesleyan Church, located in none other than Christmastown USA! 🎅🌟

When this historic church approached me, their goal was to modernize their branding while staying true to their roots and the warmth of their small-town community. I crafted a design that not only reflects their values but also celebrates their place in the heart of McAdenville—a town known for its magical Christmas lights and traditions.

I’m thrilled with how this branding turned out, just in time for the season that’s all about hope, joy, and light. 🕊️✨

🚨New Branding Project🚨

What a joy to partner with Sunset Church on their new rebrand! Located in the vibrant city of San Francisco, right off Sunset Boulevard, Sunset Church is a bilingual congregation (English and Cantonese) with a heart for reaching their community. They came to me a couple of months ago with an exciting challenge: to craft a brand identity that feels modern, bridges their diverse congregation, and authentically tells the story of who they are and what they value.

I’m thrilled to share the result—a rebrand that reflects their mission and identity in a fresh, meaningful way. This past week, they officially launched their new look, and I couldn’t be prouder to have played a part in sharing it with the world.

Throwing it back to one of my favorite projects I did a couple years ago—designing the logo and branding for GC Elections! It’s always a cool moment when I head to the polls and see it in action, knowing it’s part of our community’s voting experience. If you’re in Gaston County and see it while casting your vote this year, you can smile and say, “Hey, I know who made that!”

Voting is such an important way to have a voice in our future, and I’m proud to live in a country where we have that right. So make sure to get out there and vote!

BEYOND, a novel take on the traditional summer camp, caters to young adults aged 18-25. This transformative program aims to prepare the next generation of family, business, and community leaders. It’s a space to nurture their potential for creating significant societal impact.

The project required a comprehensive brand overhaul, encompassing everything from brand messaging and strategy to the logo and website design. I had the honor of collaborating with Brian Schindler, who crafted an engaging narrative that I then translated into a visual format. Our combined efforts successfully captured and enhanced the ministry’s story and vision.

I contributed by crafting a custom logo, choosing a distinctive color palette, and developing logo variations. My role also extended to designing and developing the website, creating a unique pattern, and producing various collateral materials like custom brochures to finalize the brand’s appearance.

🎨 LOGO MEANING 🎨

BEYOND is all about pointing young adults in the right direction, which is why we decided to use the symbolism of an arrow. There are plenty of mentions and illustrations in scripture referring to arrows (either us being arrows in God’s quiver, or being supplied arrows against the enemy), but we were more interested in what makes an arrow work. Not the intent of it, but the mechanics of it.

You will find a mark that is the shape of a B made out of a fletching (the feather on the back of an arrow). The purpose of a fletching is to “stabilize and keep the arrow on a flight path, preserve accuracy, and ultimately impact power.” The idea is built around what BEYOND is doing with these 18-25 year olds. They don’t know what they are doing or the direction they are going, and they need help. BEYOND is their fletching. Preserving the accuracy of the mark God has commanded of us, stabilizing the questions and fears we face when we enter the big world, and help make an impact for lasting community and change. They are the arrow, BEYOND is the fletching, and the gospel is the direction.

This mark also communicates an out-doorsy feel without being too rugged. It’s a modern way of communicating an ancient tool. Other things can be seen from the mark too, such as a bird’s wings (symbolizing new flight, these young adults getting their wings and leaving the nest), or turned to the side looks like forest trees, symbolizing the experiences and adventures one will be going on, and all of the angles are 53.2 degrees which represents the purpose of Jesus’ mission in Luke 5:32.
