As the new year ramps up we’re seeing so many small business closures all around the country, including several right here in Flower Mound.
With food prices soaring, rent going up, actually paying your people a livable wage, customers spending more conservatively, big business taking over and a slew of other factors working against the food industry right now, it is so important for everyone to support your favorite local establishments.
This country was built by the little guys. Those mom and pop restaurants started by immigrants looking for a better life in the US that are 30+ years old are struggling now. Those restaurants and their food that you’ve created memories around still require your patronage. Now more than ever. It’s a really hard time in the food industry.
We’ve been there for births, deaths, celebrations, achievements, comfort, tears, laughs, joy, community….
For 7 years we’ve been a part of your lives and you’ve been a part of ours. Think about all of the small businesses that have made moments in your life memorable. We are built different.
Large corporations don’t know your name or your order by heart. They don’t know that your wife got hip surgery and just wants one of your loaves of Pistachio Bread to feel better. They don’t know that your new baby is lactose intolerant so you come in for our Vegan brownies as a treat she won’t mind. They don’t know you worked so hard for years to achieve that nursing degree while holding down two jobs and the grad cake symbolizes success. They don’t know you beat breast cancer and celebrated with close friends, family, and strawberry cupcakes. They don’t know your husband is retiring from American Airlines after 30 years of flying and all he wants is a Hive Cake.
We’ve seen people go through so many stages of life these last 7 years and become a part of their stories. We’re forever grateful you guys support and love what we do. Please continue to show up for small businesses now and always.
We’re the dreamers. The doers. The little engines that could. Help keep small business dreams alive.
