The name "Cwitto" comes from my toddler self years ago trying to say my own name, Crystal. So when I was trying to come up with a name for my new business in 2015, this quote from Oscar Wilde popped in my head: "Be yourself. And so I began Cwitto Design Studio. When I started my business, I told myself, and continue to tell myself, "No cheap tricks!" That is exactly what you'll expect from my work

✨ This is the third time I’ve drawn that mask. I love it.
✨ The mask I’m wearing as well as the blue one hanging are authentic Venetian masks.
✨ The words words I’m working on, “Laissez les bons temps rouler”, are French for “Let the good times roll.”
✨ Also on the table are the stickers I sold. (And I still have some available!) My first custom art sticker sales happened that day ♥️

🐈🦮 The guest experience reigns over at Park Gardens! And that can apply to their animal companions as well. As part of their mudroom makeover, West Park Gardens asked me to create a map of Culpeper showcasing all the places guests can take their animal. Whether for recreation, dinner, shopping, or care. It’s definitely a stop-in-your-tracks moment as guests walk through to the backyard.

Nomination: Carver Food Enterprise Center is growing by leaps and bounds thanks to numerous public-private partnerships. They have served some 30 food businesses with commercial kitchen space that has grown our local food and farming economy. Their Feeding 500 events have turned abundant harvests and food rescues into thousands of healthy meals distributed through area food relief organizations, the Free Clinic of Culpeper, and others.

Additionally, they provide meaningful employment training opportunities through Stone Soup and ServSafe programs.
