Coding is more than transforming sentences into codes. My comment is Deep Learning can help to match sentences to code blocks but not sufficient to figure out control and data flow without other knowledge.

In experiments, they discovered that the models could learn to generate code that solves easier problems — but not without syntax errors. Approximately 59% of GPT-3’s solutions for introductory problems had errors, while the best-performing model — GPT-Neo — attained only 10.15% accuracy...."

Salesforce's CodeT5 model can understand and generate code with leading performance, researchers at the company claim in a paper.

A reality check of digital health applications from Apple. I am not surprised after using / seeing weight watching, monitoring apps. My impression is that the data collected from consumer devices may be useful for trending after personalized calibration, but short on diagnoses.

Interesting demo, but 37% accuracy cannot even start QA testing :)

The latest progress of code synthesis. It seems to me that the technology may not be ready for production but some interesting build blocks are there.

"While highly capable, a recent paper published by OpenAI reveals that Codex might have significant limitations, including biases and sample inefficiencies. The company’s researchers found that the model proposes syntactically incorrect or undefined code, invoking variables and attributes that are undefined or outside the scope of a codebase. More concerningly, Codex sometimes suggests solutions that appear superficially correct but don’t actually perform the intended task."

OpenAI today launched Codex, an AI model available through an API that can translate natural language commands into app code.

API is becoming end-to-end hooks in the software and service world. There is always costs associated with API changes.
Google Cloud is a proud engineering service but not so much as in commercial service. Constantly fixing Google Cloud API codes in the applications just become a norm.

Hope Google will fix it this time.

Stung by a well-earned reputation for killing services on short notice, Google is promising to do better.
