PLEASE HELP ME HELP OUR NEIGHBORS‼️
Two years ago this February, a tornado tore through our community and left devastating damage in its path. One of the homes severely impacted belonged to our neighbors, Jeanette Gerdner and her disabled daughter, Barbara.
Since that storm, they have been living in a home that still desperately needs major repairs. Their roof must be replaced, and their garage needs to be demolished and rebuilt. Unfortunately, they did not have homeowner’s insurance at the time of the storm, and they were denied FEMA assistance.
Jeanette is elderly. Barbara is disabled. They simply do not have the financial means or physical ability to restore their home on their own.
This is where we come in.
As a community, we have the opportunity to step up and help two vulnerable neighbors regain safety, dignity, and peace of mind.
They urgently need:
• Funds to replace the damaged roof
• Funds to demolish and rebuild the unsafe garage
• Volunteers to help clean up the yard
• Help sorting and removing personal belongings from the garage before demolition
Before the garage can be torn down, personal items must be carefully removed and the surrounding yard cleared. This is physically demanding work that they cannot do themselves.
Every dollar donated will go directly toward rebuilding their home. No amount is too small. If 100 people gave $50, that’s $5,000. If local businesses or churches contributed larger amounts, we could truly change their situation.
If you are able to volunteer your time for clean-up efforts, please reach out as well. Many hands make light work, and even a few hours can make a tremendous difference.
Please consider opening your heart and your wallet to help Jeanette and Barbara rebuild what was lost.
If you are unable to give financially, please share this message. The more people who see it, the greater the impact we can make together.
Let’s show them what community truly means.
