Is your app haunted? 🎃

Screens that freeze. Logins that vanish. Payments that fail only when real users show up.

If your app was built fast with AI and now acts strange in front of customers, it’s usually a few hidden issues nobody has checked yet.

This Halloween we’re offering a free app health check. We’ll look at what’s breaking and tell you what to fix first.

What can wait until the first useful journey works? For a booking app, availability and confirmation come before a referral program. Explain the scope decision, then decide what evidence would change it. Planning an MVP?

A founder with a bedtime-story idea and no engineering team. Here is what happened next, in his own words.

Andrew came to us with Storytree: bedtime stories told in the voices kids love most, with routines parents can actually keep. We scoped it in writing, built it, and stayed through launch. Today it's live on the App Store and Google Play.

Hear it from Andrew, not from us.

A download tells you someone arrived. What tells you the product became useful?

For a booking app, it may be a successfully confirmed first appointment. For a collaboration tool, it may be the first shared task completed. The right milestone depends on the product.

Define that action before arguing over product activation numbers. Then check where relevant users lose the path to it.

What is the first moment your user gets the value they came for?

What happens if a user loses connection, goes back or taps twice? A good demo should leave room for those questions. Ask to see the interrupted journey before the next release.

Before commissioning custom software, ask what you actually need to own.

A standard task may already have a good tool. A broken handoff may need an integration. A distinctive workflow may justify a product of your own.

Compare the options against the work: required capabilities, data movement, operating cost, control and the effort of changing later.

Build vs buy is a business decision with technical consequences. A useful development partner should help you examine all three routes. What are you deciding between?
