The Secret to Perfect AI Prints! 🔮
We love seeing the incredible, creative images you're generating with AI! Lately, our printers have been buzzing with your unique digital art.
However, we’ve noticed one common hiccup that’s causing some masterpiece mishaps: Missing Bleed.
What is "Bleed" anyway?
When we print your beautiful designs, we print them on larger sheets of paper and then trim them down to their final size. If your artwork stops exactly at the edge of your file, even a microscopic shift in the cutting blade can leave an awkward, skinny white line along the edge of your finished print.
The Fix: "Bleed" is simply extending your background artwork slightly beyond the final trim line. That way, when we cut it, your image goes flawlessly from edge to edge!
🛠️ How to fix it in your AI prompts or edits:
1. Uncrop / Outpaint: If you use tools like Midjourney, DALL-E, or Photoshop AI, use the "Zoom Out" or "Outpaint" feature to expand the background just a little bit more than you think you need.
2. Add 1/8 inch (0.125"): Ideally, your final upload file should have an extra area of background image on all four sides.
3. Keep Text Safe: Keep all your important text and subjects at least 0.125 inch inside the cutting line so nothing gets accidentally clipped!
Save this post for your next project, and let’s make sure your AI art looks just as breathtaking on paper as it does on your screen! 🚀✨
