🤖 iCode North Dallas Summer Camp: From block coding to Artificial Intelligence!

Check out this incredible project from our AI-Powered Robotics Lab at iCode North Dallas! This week, our brilliant campers didn't just build robots—they gave them the power to "see" and think.

Using the cutting-edge VEX IQ AI Vision Sensor, this talented student programmed their robot to autonomously identify, target, lift, and move objects completely on its own.

But the innovation didn’t stop there. Our students also learned how to use advanced AI language models like Google Gemini as an interactive coding assistant, helping them write, optimize, and troubleshoot their block-based programs like real software engineers! 🚀

At iCode, our summer camps are designed to transform curious kids into future innovators by putting real, cutting-edge technology right into their hands. Everything they are learning this week is prepping them for the ultimate test: our Friday AI Grand Challenge, where they will build and program a robot to sol
ve a complex, custom-designed problem from scratch.

On behalf of the entire team here at iCode North Dallas, we want to express our deepest gratitude to the Meghan Haggblade Legacy Foundation.
Thanks to their generous sponsorship, a wonderful group of girls from Frankford Middle School just wrapped up an incredible 5-day STEM summer camp with us! 🌟
Throughout the week, these amazing students jumped headfirst into cutting-edge technology and walked away with invaluable real-world skills:
🛡️ Digital Citizenship – Mastering the basics of internet safety and privacy protection.🎮 Game Development – Learning to build their own games in Roblox using the LUA programming language!
🖨️ 3D Design – Exploring creative boundaries with 3D modeling and printing in Blender.
The hard work, creativity, and energy they brought each day was truly inspiring. We are so proud of the games they developed, which are now saved to their personal profiles to share with friends and family!
We know this experience is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to see these girls conquer computer science electives in high school and pave the way for future technology careers. 🚀
