15 years of technological change has taught us that the skills people need will keep evolving, and how people build them matters.

From opening our first campus to launching a new era of enterprise AI training, we’ve always believed the best way to learn is by doing: practicing, experimenting, getting feedback, and applying new skills to real work.

The next 15 years will no doubt bring more change, but we’ll keep learning through it.

2.5 million learners is a milestone. But it’s also 2.5 million opportunities to learn what actually helps people build new skills.

Over 15 years of technological change, we’ve seen the same things matter again and again: hands-on practice, real-world application, human guidance, and the confidence to put new skills to work.

Technology will keep changing. How we help people move forward with it matters more than ever.

Fifteen years ago, we began with a belief: people can build extraordinary futures when they have the opportunity to learn.

We still believe it.

Through every new tool and every shift in how we work, we’ve seen what happens when people get the chance to put new skills into practice. Confidence grows. Possibilities open. Careers move forward.

AI brings us to another turning point. The future of AI training starts with the people who will use it, and everything they have yet to discover they can do.

The thing that doesn’t change is learning by doing.

Keep Progress Human.

15 years. 2.5 million learners. Countless moments of learning, doing, adapting, and figuring out what comes next.

Technology has changed a lot along the way, but one thing hasn’t. Progress happens when people have the skills and confidence to put it to work.

We’re proud of the milestone and even more excited about what our learners will do next.
Here’s to the next 2.5 million.

Smaller companies have a new advantage in the competition for talent.

81% of SMB leaders say layoffs at larger organizations have improved their ability to recruit and retain employees. Nearly half have already hired talent from larger firms in the past year.

Combined with the right development strategy, this influx of experience could help growth-stage companies move faster and get more from AI.

We’re back from LEAP with plenty of big ideas, new connections, and one question that kept surfacing:

What actually needs to change for AI to become part of how people work?

For many organizations, the answer goes beyond adding new tools to existing workflows. It means reimagining how work gets done from the start, then giving people the skills, support, and confidence to adopt those new ways of working.

It boils down to this. No matter how quickly the technology evolves, turning its potential into meaningful, everyday impact will always require an investment in people.

Thank you to everyone who joined the conversation at LEAP. We’re excited to see where all the ideas shared lead next.

Introducing Humans of GA, a new series celebrating the people, personalities, and stories that make General Assembly what it is.

First up, meet Erick Dominguez, a Senior Account Director who’s spent the past seven years building meaningful connections and helping people prepare for the future of work.

Erick once planned to become a genie. These days, he uses AI to handle some of the boring stuff so he can spend more time on genuine human connection.

In our first Humans of GA profile, Erick shares how AI has changed the way he works, why making people feel seen is his real superpower, and what he wishes he could tell his younger self.

Great conversations. Thoughtful perspectives. Plenty of ideas to bring home.

Cari Perez and Katie Cyboron had an incredible time at Learning Futures in San Francisco, connecting with leaders asking important questions about the future of organizational learning.

How can learning keep pace with change? What helps new skills translate into real performance? And how do we build learning experiences that truly support people?

Thank you to everyone who joined the conversation.
